Harbor Day at the Docks ~ a Waterfront Heritage Festival
|
The
waterfront docks of
West
Ocean
City
will come alive with the sights, sounds and smells of the sea. Harbor Day at the Docks will take place from
10:00am- 4:00pm and is being held along the working harbor docks adjacent to
Sunset Avenue. Created in 2008, this
event will celebrate the history and heritage of local maritime traditions,
including both commercial fishing and sport fishing.
Highlights will include from “dock to plate” seafood
cooking demonstrations and discussions featuring chef Travis Wright, owner of
The Shark on the Harbor, waterman and cook, John Martin of Martin Seafood
Company; Phillips Seafood Restaurants will present “crabology” which will discuss the anatomy of a crab, how to eat them, types of meat and
recipes as well as passing around samples.
Maritime artisans, live music and free children's activities will also be featured. A free shuttle will leave from the West OC Park-n-Ride ~ look for the Francis Scott Key bus. For all the details, check out: Harbor Day at the Docks website |

14th Annual Endless Summer Cruisin'
|
With over 2,000 Rods, Customs, Classics and Trick Trucks cruisin' the streets this is an event you won't want to miss. While the main event will take place at the oceanfront Inlet lot along the southern part of the boardwalk there will be various satellite locations throughout the city, including the Ocean City Convention Center, Hooters Restaurant, the town of Berlin, Gold Coast Mall, Phillips Seafood House and OC Factory Outlets.
